Went to my local AT&T Store today since I noticed on the credit check page in the video that they don't list a spot for a FTID but they do list one for a pre-approved credit check and I wanted to get that taken care of before the 29th only to find out that the iPhone cannot be used on any account using a Federal Tax ID. The rep said simply that if you want to be able to write it off you must use your personal info and then put the bill in care of your company. I don't see why they would do this.

It depends you could press them on this.

Do you have a corporation or LLC? The reality is some of the phone companies don't even do credit checks on businesses. You might try to call business services for AT&T and see what you need to do to set up a proper business account. The people in the stores are not the best to manage this and will just default to telling you they need your Social Security number, which is not necessarily true.
