Feed Hi-fi & AV from ATV????

Hi All

Optical TOS splitter
I tried one of these to split the signal to feed to my AV amp and hf-fi.
Had no joy with it, ended up sending the signal into my Arcam 250 and using the optical out to feed the hi-fi..

Its a pain another piece of equipment to switch on and set.

Whats the best option to feed AV & hi-fi??

Are you using an external DAC with the Apple TV feeding the HiFi? If not, there's no need to connect it digitally. I would use the analog outputs into the hifi and the optical out into the AV receiver.

Does your AV receiver have HDMI connections?

No, now solved though, I used a TOS splitter and fed it into a Beresford DAC
and the sound is fantastic.
