Feedback requested from maxed out 2017 MBP 15" owners

Hi,

I'm about to purchase a maxed-out 2017 15" MBP (3.1Ghz/16GB/2TB/Radeon 560) and would appreciate any feedback from owners of the exact same model etc. In particular, I would welcome any thoughts on battery life and heat, fan noise etc. specific to this model.

My assumption was that the 3.1Ghz would have slightly less battery life and more heat than 2.9Ghz or 2.8Ghz. Beyond the impact on your wallet, do you regret opting for the maxed-out 2017 15" MBP?

the new keyboard is the biggest issue I have with mine - the touch bar is cool but so far I have not used mine much at all my eyes focus on the screen and I don't use touch bar - battery and performance is great - the lack of all the other ports is an annoyance as mentioned by so many others
