Has anyone tried foam or felt covers on the Airpods yet? Or does anyone have some they could try and report back?

Specifically I'm talking about these kind of foam or felt covers:
https://smile.amazon.com/SoftRound-...rbud covers&qid=1482292669&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

The reason I ask is that I use these on the regular Earpods and find that they make them fit perfectly in my ears without falling out. But I'm concerned about two things:

1. I'm concerned that they won't fit in the case with foam covers on. It would be really annoying to have to take them off and put them back on each time.

2. I'm concerned that having the foam covers on will interfere with the sensor that knows when the Airpods are in your ears or not.

If someone would be willing to test them and report back, you would be my hero!

It's funny you ask this, right this very moment I'm trying to track down a pair that I have somewhere in my house. I remember that they used to come with the iPod headphones a while back, and I know I have a pair somewhere. If I find them I will report back.

Well I found them, but unfortunately they weren so old, that when I opened the package (yes, they were still in the originally packaging) they just crumbled as soon as you tried to do anything. Could barely touch them without it ripping apart.

If anyone else is able to try this solution, I'd love to hear the results. Right now the Airpods hurt my ears so bad, that I can only wear them for about 5-10 mins. Looking for any solution possible, and this looks like the only option that would still allow the Airpods to fit in their case.

Thank you Tinototem, and to the original poster of that message.

That is SUCH great news!

For those of you who find that EarPods or AirPods fall out of your ears, you absolutely should try foam covers. It makes the difference between unusable earbuds and becoming my favorite earbuds to me.

I will say that the foam covers are awesome! So many reasons for why I say that!

PROS:
1. Better fit
2. Bass is deeper
3. Softer for longer listening
4. Snug fit in case so the lid doesn't wobble

CONS:
1. Earwax is harder to get rid of
2. Sometimes they pull off when I pull them out of my ear

Definitely recommend.
