Hey guys, so I just bought this game for 50 bucks, and as such, I am determined to make it work. Now, I am actually redownloading and installing the game, because I was constantly getting the startup error:

"Failed to find default engine .ini file to retrieve My Documents subdirectory to use. Force Quitting."

but I was actually able to launch the game by going through the folder itself. Yeah, that was a strange error. Anyway, I also was wondering if there is any other way to play online than Gameranger? I have heard from a lot of people that Gameranger is kind of not good, and I am looking for a way to play with my friends on Steam, since most of them use PC's. Does anyone know a way of doing this?

Also, does anyone have this port of Borderlands, and if so, how has your experience with it been?

Don't have it, but MacFormat gave it 5 stars anyway...should at least be a good game.

The best thing to do in this situation is to contact our support ninjas… the details are in the 'support' tab of the options window that appears before the main game starts up.

GameRanger is the only way to play online with the Mac version of Borderlands, but you can play with PC players using GameRanger too. You'd just need to get your PC-playing friends to install GameRanger. We rather like GameRanger actually… we've always found it easy to use without getting in the way of the actual gaming.

that game look cool. will mabook air play?

Yep, it runs really well on the 11" and 13" Air, though on the less powerful models you will have to turn the graphics settings down.
