Hey everyone, my iPhone is my life. And I want to make it "that much better" through jailbreaking it. I have a 32 GB iPhone 3GS.

Anyways,
1. So, once jailbroken, do you have to reinstall all the apps like when 3.0 came out for normal phones?
2. Do I sync my iPhone after I jailbreak it with iTunes as normally to sync new apps from the iTunes store and my music library?
3. How does it affect the battery life? Presuming I'm using backgrounder frequently. Can I expect 4 hours of usage with 12-13 hours of standby?
4. If I follow instructions step for step and I have a back-up of my old files, can I brick my phone? Last thing I need is to be out a phone.

1. No, as long as you use redsn0w no restore/reinstalling is needed.

2. Syncing and normal iPhone functions will continue as normal, the only thing NOT to do is update through iTunes unless the Dev Team says it's okay.

3. Using heavy things like backgrounder is going to affect your battery life, the less services that you have like (wifi, bluetooth, 3G, etc.) that you have running will help with the battery.

4. Bricking is nearly impossible (some say impossible), any problems you have can be fixed by putting the device into DFU mode and doing a restore in iTunes.

YMMV. Backgrounding Pandora or LastFM will use more battery than say backgrounding Facebook.

If its a concern buy a battery backup like Mophie, RichardSolo, etc.

Thanks a lot.

Also, if I use redsn0w, how hard is it to get to unjailbroken again?

Just want to concur, good response to your four questions.
