Few questions on UT2004

1) How hot should it make my MBP run given that it's an older game? I've got a 2.26 GHz C2D, but I don't know if that will have an effect...

2) What settings should I put it on for optimal performance? Not necessarily best graphics I'm asking.. ."best bang for the buck type thing"... like, how high without compromising anything. Again, I've got a new MBP and it's an old game so I hope to have some leeway.

3) How do I check to make sure I have the newest 3369.2 patch installed?

4) Any way to run the game without the CD? I read that a patch might have changed that but not sure...

1. I'm guessing pretty hot seeing as how it's got decent 3D graphics and is extremely fast paced.

2. Press ~ and type in stat fps to see your FPS. 60 fps is the best, 30 is alright. It just depends whether you want a smooth 60 fps or 30 fps, which console games run on. Complete max it and play it for a couple of minutes to see your average FPS.

3. Right click>get info on the icon.

4. If a patch does it, get that. If not, there may be a no-cd crack out there somewhere.
