Hey all,

Im on a MBP right now, I'm running bootcamp with windows XP SP3. I can download a copy of Windows Vista from my university.

The first problem is how do I burn it properly to a DVD?

Then, to install Vista over XP, do I just boot up from Windows and install the disk or do I need to do it through the Bootcamp Utility?

Thanks.

Just make sure you burn it as an iso, Disk Utility should burn it just fine. Mount the image, open disk utility and click on the mounted Vista disk and click "burn to disk". After it completes, put the DVD back in (assuming it comes out after it has been burned) and check startup disk to make sure it's bootable (if it is, you did it right! and I was right too! lol).

After all is done, insert the disk and open boot camp assistant. Click the option to start the Windows Install and the computer will reboot and ask to boot off of the DVD. Install over the XP install.

Pretty simple, good luck! =)
