Is anyone facing a few seconds freezes on iPadOS 16.1?

I bought Air 5 recently and updated it right away to iPadOS 16.1, so I dont really know if freezing happened before the update, but after I am sometimes facing a 3-5 seconds freeze when unlocking the iPad. Pressing on power button during that doesn't do a thing, I always have to wait till it unfreezes.

not sure if this is a known problem or I am the only one and maybe it's a hardware thing (because I dont know how the iPad worked before as mentioned, updated it to 16.1 day one).

I just experienced this on my M1 iPad Pro (running 16.1) and came on here to check if anyone else has experienced this behavior. I normally just tap the screen and it turns on. I tried that a few times and nothing happened. I then pressed the power button and again nothing. It took a number of presses before it woke up. This has never happened before.

oh, that is “good” to know, means that it’s more likely to be software thing than hardware.

I tried clean reinstall of 16.1 but it didn’t help. Faced the freeze on 16.1.1 as well.

However because of that I decided to go for the 16.2 beta to see if this is my iPad being broken or the system. installed it before the weekend and so far I didn’t face the freeze - at least not in a way I would notice it.

I was also suspecting that maybe the seamless switching between devices caused some problems on the iPad, as I think it mostly occurred with me having Pods in ears while working on Mac and often opening the iPad (but I cannot confirm this part).

In the end, the beta seems to help with this issues, installed third beta yesterday and will continue my observation whether the freeze happens again.

so, it just happened again today on 16.2 Beta.3 :/ kinda frustrating especially that not much is mentioned about this, so Im not sure what can be the cause.

edit: going to try to see if the Air Pods could be the cause, cause I connected them to the iPad yesterday and they were on it as "last connected device".

edit2: it seems like the problem is occurring much more often on Beta.3 and is really annoying.
