OK, given that every other thread seems to have a large number of people complaining about AT&T's claim on the fewest dropped calls, here is a little background

So, a third party company, (recently bought by the Nielsen ratings group), did that test and AT&T did the best.

Does that mean it connected the most? No.
Does that mean it is the best company every? No.
Does it means it works perfectly for location xyz? No.

Please, stop complaining about iPhone coverage. If it does not work in your usage area, you have 30 days to cancel the plan with AT&T.

And if it does work, please stop saying "Verizon suxors".

OK?

Thank you.

There are thousands more people who have no complaints about the service.

Yeah, you only hear about the people who're having issues. I've only had one dropped call in 10 months of service with AT&T. Flawless service in my opinion.

The voice quality is just as good as Verizon (my previous carrier) in my area.

I know, its just annoying to try and get impressions about the phone itself when poeple spend so much time ranting or raving about the service.
I have AT&T and it works fine for me. My brother has Sprint and a good friend has Verizon. Its whatever works for you location and usage.

I think plenty of people who a good right to complain about the AT&T service because in some parts of the country (like mine) it is incredibly average.

I plan on keeping my iPhone of course AND I don't plan on making any "AT&T sucks" threads since I have already voiced my thoughts

But, if others want to vent about it, I say go for it. It's your phone & service....doesnt take much for someone to just skip over a thread.

Others have made great points on here that every part of the country has a different GOOD cell-phone service and BAD one. Verizon is GREAT here but many others say Verizon is TERRIBLE where they are at.

I travel a lot on business and I find that Cingular (aka AT&T) works fine around the country. In some buildings I find I can't connect while others can and in other buildings the situation is reversed.

One thing I found over the years is that the phone makes a huge difference. I went through two phones with poor reception then got a Sony Ericsson T637 which has a great RF section. In the same places I had poor or no reception that phone works well.

Based on that experience I've tried to find out how the iPhone compares to other phones but have had no luck. People complain the iPhone not working in some areas but that is to be expected. We need someone to do a rigorous test comparing the reception of the iPhone to some other phone in a variety of locations.
