Fight for MobileChat

Its about time we all start emailing Apple for them to put mobilechat on the app store. It was sent in 10 days ago, and they STILL have not approved it. Why am I so angry? First off, there are no GOOD apps on the app store that are for IMing. Parlingo is absolute crap for so many reasons, as is AIM.

If that can make it on the app store there is NO REASON mobile chat isnt there. They are blocking mobile chat for some reason, and it needs to STOP.

Anyone have an email for Apple in regards to the app store and how bias/crappy it is?

I don't think I mobilechat has some sort of conspiracy against it. Some apps just take awhile. Who knows why. Let the developers handle it.

You need to calm down mate. It will come out eventually. You sound like Apple looked at it and said no, I dont like this app so were not going to post it. It will come, in the meantime struggle with AIM or use a webapp. They suck, its true. But emails are not going to do anything. Besides, you have no idea when I AM RICH was sent in. Maybe it was 2 weeks ago?!

Applications which are paid applications take longer than free applications (for the most part) to get approved.

Add that to the fact that MobileChat is more complex than even Palringo (coupled with the fact that MobileChat's first rejection was because of their server), it might take ten days more more to approve.

Just be patient. At least their server appears to be fine and everything else does too.

ALL apps are stuck in the apporval process. Besides, whats easier to approve, an app that does nothing or a very extensive app such as mobilechat. Everyone just needs to calm down.

Based on the past things I have read on the mobile chat developers, I wouldn't be surprised at this at all.

The OP isn't talking about how long it took for MobileChat to get to Apple for approval...the OP is talking about the time it's taking for Apple to approve.

I don't know what the developers would have to gain by pissing people off by lying about the release date of their app. I think I'm more willing to blame this on Apple. What have they done right lately? Releasing the DUMBEST apps. Removing some of the most useful, adding back and removing again, bugs, apps can't update or stay in sync, Mobile Me, etc. It's just one big cluster****.

I don't think anyone needs to e-mail Apple about mobilechat.. I think people just need to be patient and wait for the app to show up in the store. The developers wouldn't be helping themselves by lying about the release date... it isn't as if you can pre-order an App before it pops up on the store.

If Apple instituted a certain standard of quality or filed a bunch of apps away where they belong (the circular file), the process would unfortunately take even longer than it actually does.

The developers are the ones to blame. Apple isn't going to move faster because people email them. Like I said, I have a suspicion the developers are pulling a fast one on us. I haven't heard any other developers whining like these are about their problems. It makes users think twice about handing them money, that's for sure. I'm almost positive they didn't submit it when they did and it's taking Apple longer to approve it than they thought. The normal time is 3-9 days. I bet they submitted it about 4-5 days ago. I really don't think Apple is rejecting many apps. If everything was working, there's no reason Apple wouldn't accept it. They've accepted all these other IM apps.

These conspiracies about how Apple wants to make an IM app like MobileChat etc ... are just insane. I'd be willing to fight for it if he developers weren't acting so clueless during this whole process. They probably didn't submit it right..

after seeing how it almost appears as though the devs have spent more time calling people out and placing blame, and overall coming across as a very sketchy group of people, I'd be very apprehensive about downloading their app anyway. You'll be using their servers and who knows if they're the type to try to capture some of your personal information in some way or another. Of course any other app devs could be just as questionable, but these guys give people reason to doubt them.

I'll certainly be waiting a while before downloading it to see what people are saying
