Is there any way I can make panther more leanient to copying slightly corrupt/damaged files?

I do alot of copying of movies etc from uni due to the course I do, and Panther seems to be very picky with files. Say there are a couple of incomplete/corrupt frames it says the file could not be read/written.

Its happening too often though, is there a way of making it more leanient?

Cheers! that solved the problem of playing certain problem files.

But im still stuck when transferring these files from ZIP or an external HD, and even from .sit or .dmg files. Panther seems to be alot more pickier than previous OS's

Here is a good example!

I just downloaded the VideoLAN program as a .dmg. I mount it and then try to transfer the file into my applications and after installing part of the file it says 'unable to complete request as certain data could not be read or written'
