Can you set the file name when saving a document to Files in iOS 13 or iPad OS?

Seems such a simple request that’s not currently available in iOS 12

You can. Tap on the file name in the save dialog and you can set your own name.

I am having problems with doing it while saving the doc initially (using the naming box at the top). But once its saved, i can use the long press menu to rename it just fine.

You can do that now. That’s no good. That’s 2005!

I want to be able to save a doc and name it while saving. It’s not a lot to ask.

Might be scenario dependent? I printed this page to pdf, then shared to files and I'm able to tap the filename(though the hit box is a bit finicky right now, which i'll report), rename then save. Where are you saving a file from?

Edit: I'm also able to do it with a screenshot, and even a Word file (once you escape the native Onedrive integration and navigate back to "Other locations" -> "more" to get back to the native dialog)
