Hi,

I've enabled file sharing and selected only 1 folder I want to share on my Mac Mini.
Then I've connected to the SMB file server using my iPhone and using credentials that I use normally to login to my Mac.

The issue is that it shows all kind of partitions, external disks etc.

Why is that?

I'm on Sonoma.

You probably have “Allow full disk access for all users.” checked.

Almost certainly: The credentials you are using when connecting are for a user which is an administrator on the Mac Mini. Administrators have access via SMB to all volumes - just as they would when login in locally.

If that is annoying, you should create a non administrator user and allow that user access to only the one share.
