I recently bought an MBA. I am using it to write books now that I am confined to bed more of the time. I have a home network with several Windows PCs, one of which has a large capacity RAID configured disk. I would like to use the Windows disk for backup.

Is there a solution to recommend?

When you say "backup", what exactly do you mean? Are you talking about using Time Machine, or do you just want to store files there?

You can share a directory on a Windows server and the Mac can connect to that share and read and write files there. As long as Windows is running, the file(s) should be accessible.

I want to share. Is there a write up available to take me through the steps?

TIA
