This is a strange one, but please bear with me...
A friend of mine is using Outlook Express on OS 9.1. It seems she managed her myriad of attachments with OE rather than move them to disk. Consequently, the Messages file in her Outlook Identity became enourmous. It hit 1.99GB and gave her an error 2 and then froze.
Since then, OE won't recognize that huge file and she's lost all of her messages. I figure it is due to the file size limit in OS 9, which is 2GB. Somehow the file got to that point and fried Outlook. I've tried everything I could think of - compacting and rebulding database files, etc., but nothing will make OE "see" this messages file. I've tried importing it into 3 different mail clients in OS 10.2.8, but they can't import properly without the rebuild messages database and we can't rebuild the database without getting OE to see the huge messages file.
Any advice would be more than appreciated and any solutions would be downright worshiped!
