Hello,

I am in the process of setting up a new NAS box and I wanted to see if there was a better way to handle all of my digital music and video files in terms of file structure on the NAS box.

Currently I have the following:

MultimediaMaster\Artist Name\Album Title\Tracks
MultimediaMaster\Video\Movie Title\Movie File
MultimediaMaster\iTunes\iTunes Files (XML etc)

All of the above reside under the folder MultimediaMaster

Was thinking of breaking up the three to the following folder structure:

AudioMaster\Artist Name\Album Title\Tracks
VideoMaster\Movie Title\Movie File
iTunesMaster\iTunes Files

If I look under the current folder structure (MultimediaMaster) I also see apps, podcasts etc which I am assuming since I have that folder designated as my iTunes folder that is why it is putting them all under the root MultimediaMaster folder. I would rather have all of these files placed under the iTunes folder and not mixed in with the Audio files.

But I am worried when I do download a song or two from iTunes it will load it up under the iTunes folder and not under the AudioMaster folder which is what is currently happening under the iTunes folder.

Thoughts or recommendations?
