iPhone FileBrowser question

I have been trying to get a handle on a good way to manage files and to transfer them to/from my XR and the PCs on my network. I read about the FileBrowser app in another thread and it sounded good so I am giving it a chance.

I have successfully connected my XR to my PCs and am able to copy files to transfer to the phone and can select "paste here" option on the phone. But where exactly is that? Is that the "files" app on the phone? Also, I am intending to transfer MP4 movie files from PC to the VLC player app file folder, but I don't see a way to navigate and paste to there directly in FileBrowser. Am I missing something? How do I do this?

Use iTunes File Sharing, see - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201301

You can also put all your movie files into FileBrowser as it can play movies. If the format you have can’t be played or you prefer another player, you can click on share file and play it in another app.
