I have been driving myself nuts today trying to find a template that will allow me to create checklists for IT projects I am involved in. Since this is only to help me be sure I don't skip a step in the processes here I am just looking for something free that I can either use in Filemaker on my MBA or Filemaker Go on my iPad It need not be fancy, richly featured, etc. I just need something to keep the records as I check off the boxes for each segment.

Thanks!

Apple's Notes.

Create a Note as a Checklist. It is instantly available on iPad via iCloud. Notes even allows you to take a picture and embed it in the note, scan a document and place it in the note, etc.

If you need to keep notes after completing (for documentation), save as PDF and\or move to a "completed" folder.

If you repeatedly use the checklist and need to keep a copy after completing each operation, have a note as your "template", and copy the content into a new note each time you start a new operation. Make the first line a title for the server, operation, or whatever to distinguish notes, then copy the checklist below.

As you complete tasks, check it off, add any additional details, pictures, etc under each task, then save or save as PDF. You can even have a folder for completed, pending, and active operations within Notes. Simply move a note to the appropriate folder when appropriate. The notes update on all of your devices in real time.
