Files App on iPad

i have a question about the File App on iPad. For some reason, I do not have “On My iPad” option under locations (see screenshot). Anyone knows how I can fix that? Thanks in advance!!

Save to On My iPad using Pages “Save to Files” feature.. the option basically doesn’t show until you save something to it lol
