I figured I'd try to do something breathtakingly simple:
Copy an 8GB file from my server to the VLC app.
Sounds pretty simple, right? I accessed my server with the new "Connect to server" feature, found the file, long-pressed and hit Copy.
Then I started to navigate towards the VLC app and.... Files froze.
I force-quit it. Launched it again. Frozen.
Completely locked up app, no matter how many times I'd kill and restart it. I ended up having to restart my phone to get Files working again.
Has ANYONE been able to get Files to work properly with large files? Things seem to work fine with sub-GB files but as soon as you're into several gigabytes it becomes horribly broken. This is depressing because when you have 256GB and 512GB phones and 1TB iPads, you should be able to move files around quickly and easily like Macs can.
