Files app: USB support through camera adapter?

One thing I'm curious about is whether the Files app supports USB devices through one of the USB camera adapters. Anyone out there who has one of those adapters try it out yet?

I just tried attaching a USB SD card reader to the Apple USB camera adapter. 'Photos' opened as expected, but I couldn't see the SD card in 'Files'. So it looks like it's not supported

Sometimes I feel like Apple doesn't really think things through completely – they offer features that are a nice start, or stepping stone if you may, but it's often not thought out enough, and there's always something seemingly missing.

This is a perfect example. The Files app should be able to support this – macOS does. Maybe in a future update, but I'm not counting on it.

well...it's either how you said or they just didn't make it in time. Keyboard shortcut supports is also missing... so I think Files is very work in progress. Hopefully, in the future... =(
