I have a folder on my iPhone, it's a subfolder of Pages. When I connect my Mac to the iPhone (by wi-fi or USB) I can use Finder to access files in Pages. But i can't access any file in the subfolder, the files in it do not appear in Finder at all. Is there a way to access those files, without moving them around on the iPhone?

It's iPhone SE (2020) running ios 14.6, Mac 10.15.7.

The problem is the subfolder. I recreated your scenario and can only see files in the main application folder under Files. When I created a subfolder and moved the files into it, they were no longer visible. They are accessible in a subfolder on iCloud Drive though.

Edited to add: it might be possible to access the subfolder files from your Mac stored On My iPhone using iMazing, but I don't have it installed to test it.

Frustrated as to why file access and management in Files does not behave more like file access and management in MacOS Finder. Why even call it Files in iOS but Finder in MacOS? Call it Files in both and make it function at least similarly? It’s like needing to know know two languages when one is enough for each.
