Whenever I try to ‘move’ a local file to iCloud Drive it only gives me the option to ‘copy.’

Is this normal behavior or a glitch?

If normal, is there a reason why I can’t move and only copy a file?

Thank you.

I have auto syncing turned off on many folders. For those folders, I can move a file over.

I just tried it and the default action is move. I opened finder. Cmd + n for new window. I drag file from where it is to iCloud Drive in finder and it moves.

I just realized I’m doing on a Mac. This is iOS thread. Are you on iOS? Looks like default behavior. I select local file and tap move, then when I select destination it says copy. Seems like a bug, or bad ux design.

Thank you for confirming. How do I report this to Apple?
