Due to numerous problems with the first generation 17 in MBP Ive decided to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau against Apple.
Mine was purchased in May. Since then I had to send it back three times, and replaced once for logic board, kernel panic and keyboard issues. Im not sure how anyone else feels about the problems they have been having, but my feeling is that this model MBP has obvious unresolved issues that are ridiculous to accept for a brand new product. Due to these numerous issues and the fact that they replaced it once already with the same model, I requested that they replace it this time with a CD2 and they refused, despite the fact that the logic board went out on both the original and the replacement.
What concerns me is what will happen after the 1 year warranty expires. And I think that it is also a ripoff for them to charge 350.00 for an extended warranty.
Even if I lose out, at least I will have peace of mind to know that I at least put up a fight. If enough customers get together with this perhaps a class action law suit will be appropriate.
