It happens often that one gets a confirmation code on iPhone that he has to fill on MacBook (payment, banking etc.). I wonder - why this option "fill code from messages" (that is the most practical) comes only once in 10-20 cases and not always ? Otherwise one has to type it manually ?

I suspect it comes from the formatting of the incoming message. Apples software can’t parse the number out. I have the opposite result your seeing though. The auto-fill works for me probably 18 out of 20 times. There are certain senders it never works for.

Agree with Damon, it's likely the formatting of the incoming messages. Like him (her)/ it almost always works for me, but for certain senders it never works.

Yeah mine works all too well here. Pops up seconds on the screen after I hear my phone go off. almost every single time I get one whether its Apple, Google, Steam, etc. Apples own alerts are hilarious because they also pop up directly on my Mac.. Someone could be on my computer trying to hack into my Apple account, and Apple's own verification code will pop up on the desktop along with my iPhone for whoever is on the computer to sign in with.
