Hey guys,

Sorry if this has already been covered somewhere, but I'm kind of a forum noob.

That being said, I'm having some trouble with Final Cut Express and I was wondering if you good folks could help me out.

You see, I'm trying to capture video from my telivision directly into my ibook, through a Dazzle unit. Everytime I use the "Capture Now" option, it captures about 5 seconds of video before it just quits, and it gives me a timecode error. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it. If you do, please respond. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Don Won

You're streaming the TV signal into FCE?
Do you have FCE 1 or FCE 2?
FCE 2 can capture across timecode breaks; FCE 1 cannot.
You could try using iMovie to capture the footage(timecodes do not seem to be relevant with iMovie), save it as a Quicktime movie, then import it into FCE.

Hey thanks for the help.

I recently purchased Final Cut Pro 3. *CHA-CHING*

So no worries. Also, by asking around, I found a way around my time code problems.

Once again, thank you.
