Final Cut Express on 2.4Ghz iMac

Looking to get back into video editing, and I'd like to know if the low end iMac with an extra 1-2 gigs of RAM from Newegg/Crucial would be enough to run FCE smoothly, and to make sure I can get the most out of it.

Please note that the 24 inch is well out of my price range.

Get the 20" with the 2600 Pro, the 2400XT will not run FCE very smoothly. I'd also get 2gb of RAM from www.crucial.com
Apple overprices their RAM so you'll save a lot of money ordering it from there.
