hi everyone, couldn't find much online about this so I came here. I have been editing 4k footage on my 2015 MacBook Air 13" for years now and am trying to save some money by not upgrading just yet. I was looking into upgrading to 16gb ram but found out that it is to possible because it is soldered in.... So back to my question. Is Final Cut Pro or Premiere Pro better for editing 4k footage? I have been using Premiere for almost the last 2 years and it has been amazing, it was a huge upgrade from iMovie and editing on my old iPad. But now that I am getting better in the photography/video industry I am wanting to do more special effects/heavy editing and my Mac is struggling to keep up with rendering/playback etc. So would it be worth switching to Final Cut Pro? or should I stay with Premiere Pro?

This is my first post here so anything is appreciated, thanks guys :)

Premiere Pro is very bad software as of now. It was great back then, but now it is just bad.
Use DaVinci Resolve 16 or FCPX. But not sure how your 2015 Air will handle 4k.
Also upgraded RAM wouldn't help you on old Air, since base Air 2020 i5 8gb Ram is still better at editing video.
