Final Cut Pro 10.0.9 in Yosemite

So I have Final Cut Pro 10.0.9, and I recently upgraded to Yosemite. I know that with FCP 10.1.3, you can use the program by selecting "show package contents" and opening the program through a terminal.

However, updating the program is not an option for me because I got the software as part of a Video Productions class. It does not say that I've purchased it through the App Store. Are there any workarounds to get FCP working on my Mac?
