Hi all,

i got my G5 tower out of storage setup Final Cut Studio 2 on the machine it works really good for editing a load of Standard Def footage captured off my Canon XL1.

The problem is during Firewire capture in FCP. The footage has all lines through it when playing as if it needs deinterlacing, unfortunately I cannot see any settings in the capture area to change this.

When capturing the raw dv footage in iMovie HD its absolutely fine and looks very nice for SD footage. I shoot in PAL format, can anyone assist or advise what settings to use For FCP Capture it would be nice to do the whole project in FCP rather than capture in iMovie HD and then import. It must be a good 10 years since I last used this version of Final Cut Pro so I’ve lost a lot of knowledge.

thanks

Ryan
