Hi all,

I want to get into video editing on my 2015 MacBook Pro, I had originally given up on anything intensive on this machine but ever since I discovered Video tool box on the latest handbrake, it produces quicker results of the same quality as my 7th Gen i7 laptop On average 260fps which is quite frankly amazing. So now I am looking at more types of video editing such as cutting, joining, adding music onto home made videos etc etc.

On Windows I mainly used Videoredo but as that is unavailable on the Mac, I was wondering what applications will do what I want ?

Many thanks

You can give iMovie a shot since that comes free, if you need more I can recommend checking out DaVinci Resolve. The basic version is free to use, which is pretty amazing. FCP is ok but imo it's more difficult to go between that and other video editors compared to Resolve (though I've only really used those two and Premiere).

Thank you for that, I will take a look, joining video clips seamlessly is essential, but will definitely be trying out those suggestions.
