Hello everyone,

I’m having major issues with FCP for iPad. As I’m editing my video, the playback is INCREDIBLY choppy, especially near a transition. So much so that it’s difficult to edit. When I export, the video is flawless, but I’m having incredible difficulty in editing. I’ve searched and found the same issue on FCPX, but nothing for the iPad version.

Any advice on how to fix this? I’m still a relative newbie at FCP, especially on iPad, but so far I like being able to use it for my workflow - except for this issue!

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I have tried changing the playback from Performance to Quality, and vice versa. No luck. I’m also using a 12.9” iPad Pro 6th Gen, M2, 512 GB HD.

maybe some more information 😎 - like resolution, color depth, frame rate, physical source, etc.?
