Final Cut Pro x crashed and all files and data missing from timeline. How do I retrieve my timeline files and arrangement?

Thanks!

You may have a backup in the {user}/Movies/Final Cut Backups folder... they may be listed by Project... confirm with the timestamp from the folder to see if it's the one that you are looking for.

You do NOT go directly into the Finder to open a backup! That's what Open Library -> From Backup is for!

And I find it extremely unlikely that that would even happen since FCP writes every change you make AS you make it. So for more than maybe your last two steps to disappear is virtually impossible. Otherwise there is something VERY wrong with your system as a whole.
