Final Cut Pro X HDR auto Brightness

I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere. I am brand-new to Final Cut Pro X. I tried importing my videos that I made on iPhone 12 mini. For whatever reason when they import into the timeline they are super super bright. how in the world do I turn this function off?
 
This video will answer your questions but, in short, this is expected behavior and you can simply adjust the brightness down in the color board or there is a new effect in FCP specifically designed for this which the video shows (starts at 2:54):
