i installed and older version of Final Cut Pro-Acadmic version 2004? on my Apple iMac G5/2.1 20-Inch Sight but when i try to open open final cut pro i get an error message thats says i need and AGP card ??!! Isnt that a PC card. My Mac G5 has built in memory of 128mb. What to do is their a way around this??!!:(

search for it. i remember installing Final Cut HD on my Power Mac G5 back in 2005 and it gave the same error. You're suppose to edit one of the documents within the Final Cut files for the program to read/use PCI GPU instead of AGP GPU.

"In Finder go to the Final Cut application, right click and choose "Show Package Contents" From there find the file "Info.plist". Open it in Text Edit (or Property List Editor if you have Developer tools installed. Find the string that says AGP, and change AGP to PCI. "

Found this in another thread. Worked for me.
