Final Cut with imac or powermac

I know mac pro is coming in soon, but i just got to get my cousin a mac.

she does Final Cut Pro which apparently she bought an upgrade for UB already.

I was thinking, should i get her a powermac G5 dual core (the cheapest is 1999)

or buy her imac 2.0Ghz 20" intel

Which one do you think will do final cut better? any benchmark out there regarding this?

Get the 20" iMac if you have to get it now. If you can wait less than a month, get the MacPro.

I second that you should wait a month till the Mac Pros come out but if you just cant wait then I would get the imac.
