1. On first boot, Does the Leopard video run exactly the same as if it were to run on the new MacBooks/Pro's?

2. Can you watch .mp4 or .mov movies on your HDD without lag?

3. Youtube videos can overheat the Air as easy as watching a 10 minute video?

Thanks!

While it may be your final question, I doubt it will be final at all for the forum, and why not bind the related topic in same places...

1) Do you mean the installation procedure? How could they be different.

2) What kind? If you try Blu Ray class video, no, I don't think you can. I tried to open a Blu Ray class video on VLC and it choked. But regular videos and whatnot, don't see any problem.

3) Don't understand what you are trying to compare. But if kernel_task bursts to slow the machine, install CoolBook.

Haha why would you care about the booting leopard video? Is it that important to you?

1) While I've never done a side by side comparison I have seen the video on all three machines and did not notice any significant differences. You are talking huge performance differences between the MBP and MBA though so there may be lower frame rates that are just not obvious.
2) From the local HD, Yes
3) Mine never has even playing 4 10m videos in a row. Fan speed increases to max and cpu temp goes from the 40's to the 60's, sometimes even low 70's but mine has always worked fine with no pauses/freezes or core shutdowns.

I have a RevA 1.6/80

^ Absolutely NOT necessary
