Penultimate for $2.99 in the app store.

Pen ultimate has great handwriting recognition. Glad to see someone finally made this much needed app.

The thread title is a bit misleading, as the app isn't converting handwriting or anything like that. However, I am very interested in a notes taking app and have bought many of these apps - this one seems to be best at recording what you're writing. Everything is in real-time - no lag at all - and it comes out very smooth.

If this app added this things, it would be perfect:

1) Ability to import a PDF to markup.
2) Better way to get notes off the iPad beyond email (GoodReader still has the gold standard solution here)
3) Options to change pen and paper color.

Thanks for pointing that out. It's more of an ink notes app. Either way, I'm happy to see people moving in that direction. :D

Thanks for the heads up, this app looks outstanding! Just what I'm looking for in a note taking app. Simple, elegant look and feature set, and nice line tracking.

Added it to my 'to-buy' app list. Waiting on the 3G iPad - my list has like, $300 in apps right now!

lol ya I already grabbed about $50 worth before I grabbed my WiFi iPad, but I got rid of that so I'm waiting on 3G to use them again!
