finally got a imac 27inch i7 first one i had was marked in lower screen and colour messed up around it so took back to store and replaced straight away. The current version has 1 dead pixel which isn't so bad i guess, no yellow tinting or low hum noise wen brightness low. Just taking some getting used to with the big screen and the osx software since always been a windows user

Congrats on the new mac. I'm also thinking of getting a new iMac or Mac Pro because I'm going to do stuff that requires computer power. But Buyer's Gide says, "Don't buy!" and I keep reading forums posts...

i was really unsure about buying one cause of the refresh but its nothing major looking at the rumours of whats being updated. so thought why not it still powerful plus my student discount would of ran out lol

^ I was planning on holding out for the upgrade too but how could I pass up a mint condition 21.5" 1TB HD + Radeon 4670 for $650?! :D Honestly, price was the only reason why I went with the current model. Even if they upgrade it Tuesday (which some speculated), I'm still up ahead :p If I was going to pay full price as I planned I would definitely wait...especially since I think they will be doing some awesome upgrades for the higher end models.
