I know this is way late and there have been a million reviews already, but here's my opinion anyway.

Short review, in person, it's a LOT more enticing than I expected.

It was "thinner" than I expected. Definitely pleasant to hold.

The weight met my expectations. Basically light enough that weight isn't a factor.

Build quality was much higher than I expected. It's much sturdier than I expected. Very little bending and warping for such a thin package.

Performance-wise it's well up to any reasonable task.

It's very "sexy".

Overall, I give it an A+.

It's still not for me, my MBP is more than light and small enough for my needs, and I have a very capable computer with me pretty much always.

My thought is that for someone that walks around carrying their laptop this is a dream come true. If you're going to put it in a backpack anyway, I'm not certain why you wouldn't go with a MBP. I don't know what environment you would carry your laptop around free-hand in, but if there was one, this would definitely be the bomb.

If you don't have any serious computation needs or have the need for much I/O other than WiFi, and you have the bucks to "waste" on a "tasty look and feel", there's no reason not to consider this notebook, IMO.

I think it's a great addition to the line-up.
