Early this year, iwant to buy my first iMac because I have used iPhone and begun to love the apple. The post here about the yellow ting bothered me to stop my buying. When the refresh was coming,i jumped into the boat right away and feel much better. Now some guys are discussing the yellow problem again.I feel that if you trust your eyes and don't see any vision problem and you are not professional, don't do yellow test, that will bother you forever!
Enjoy your iMac!

I just purchased the new i7 and love it. I'm pretty new to this yellow test. What is it and how is it performed?

yeah, im pretty sure you can make yourself imagine it if you look hard enough so I wouldnt bother unless you spot anything in normal use. Thats not to say some havent got issues but I am sure there are a few machines returned due to paranoia!

I retuned my Week 45 i5 because it was so yellowed you could clearly see it on the desktop - the dock icons were very warm. Haven't seen one nearly that bad in a long time so I'm ordering an i7 next week :D

Does the yellow screen can appear suddenly (after some weeks-months) ...that's quiet scary.... do apple , because of knowing the problem , can do anything (reparing for free or changing the product/refund the money) if so happend and you're in your first year's warranty?
