I have had a smartphone for a long time. My husband has steadily refused to come over the the dark side. LOL His basic phone just wasn't working right anymore and texting on it was nearly impossible as just answering calls were becoming. I checked with Verizon and saw where we were being charged as if he already had a smartphone anyway. I finally talked him into letting me move him over. He has been using it here in the house since I got my iphone x in November to listen to youtube video's and such. I put a case on it to hide the fact it is pink LOL My kids are thrilled they can text him now.

But the truth will be if this phone is used or stays on the dresser like his old one was. He said, how do men stand phones as large as your ipx in their pocket. The iphone se is larger than his basic phone but still a nice size.

Apple really does need to listen to their customers. There is a venue for the smaller phones.

If he has an issue with the size of the iPhone X, I cannot imagine what his comments about the 6+/6s+/7+/8+ would be. ;)

For all intent and purposes, the SE is still a great smartphone today. It performs great with iOS 11, has 2GB of RAM, and can record 4K video. Considering Apple still supports the 5S with iOS 12, the SE will enjoy a long life.

I do join the crowd who wants Apple to continue updating the small iPhone. Maybe with an A11 this coming September?

Yah I am in that group as well. I love my SE but don't like anything larger. I loved the 5C and 4S before that and even though I do sometimes use accessiblity features to zoom in on the SE or invert colors, there's no way I want a larger phone. If I want something bigger to read a magazine on then it's iPad time or use a laptop. The day I don't have an SE-sized option from Apple, then it's back to a flip phone for phone calls and be done with "smartphones" for keeps. I can't imagine there aren't plenty of guys who don't prefer a regular pocket-sized smartphone as well. It's not like everyone wears cargo pants to the job...

Well said. While I, personally, will take the largest OLED iPhone Apple makes, I would be baffled if Apple gives up on the 4” form factor.

That would be colossally stupid, IMO and would ignore a likely significant segment of Apple’s loyal customers (i.e., 4” fans, possibly many of whom have been iPhone users since the very beginning). However, I could understand Apple holding off until 1/2Q 2019 to introduce the SE 2, or SE X, lol.

Doing so while keeping mum about the possibility of a “new SE”, would offer the iPhone 9, or whatever the rumored 6.1” LCD model with FaceID will be called, SOME protection from having it’s sales cannibalized by the new 4” model.

I finally went plus and have been deleriously happy. My husband... How I wish he'd leave Android. But, we're a mixed marriage in cell phones and football. He doesn't mind a large phone though. He used to have a Note, which is huge.

Being mixed in football picks sounds much more dangerous to me lol.

I like fooling around with my sister's Plus when I visit her and she invites me to scroll through her photos or check out some app she has acquired, but it still strikes me more like a rectangular iPad mini than a phone.

Guess it's that I can't get used to the idea of holding that thing up to my head to talk. I have a feeling she may more often use it flat on a table with speakerphone on... the extra real estate is nice but I still want to be able to stick mine in a seriously small zip pocket on my handbag. "To each her own..." :)
