After much tinkling and experimentation, I finally decided to un-install Vista from my MBP C2D today. Don't get me wrong, Vista is pretty decent and smooth as cotton on the outside but with so many drivers still not supported by BootCamp, It's just wasn't a good experience...I think I'll hold off until Apple comes up with Vista compatible Bootcamp drivers...how long, I don't know.

IMO, OSX still beats it though but the competition is a little closer than before...and man, i still hate installing a virus, adware detector.

Right now, Vista is where it belongs and it's running well on my Athlon 64 3700+ PC. :)

I messed around with the beta version in my computer class. I didn't really enjoy it. Eventually I want to give it another shot. Mac OS X is still superior to it though.

I'll probably do the same but I cannot say I didn't enjoy it. As a matter of fact I am enjoying it on my PC right now.

It's definitely eye catching like OSX but once you disable the special effects, it's back to being just Windows. Yes, I will give it another go specially now that Macs are Intel. :)

Vista only has one nice effect. The flip3d application switcher thing they always show on TV.

"Wow" :rolleyes:

Actually, I disagree...if you ever got a chance to play with it, you'll also notice the improved window fades and bounce...I admit, they probably took a page from the OSX scrap book but it's really a nice touch. And the Media Extender function is quite catchy too...did I hear, iTV?

And there's still more that I liked. I've been a PC user before I became a MAC user and I can say Vista is an improvement. BUt man, am I salavating for Leopard though...c'mon, release the beast already!:)

Get your facts straight microsoft have been supporting extender capabilitys for their media center pcs for over 3-4 years. I BELIEVE YOUR SAYING should go like this...."iTV a copy of media center extenders?

On a side note like you i am salivating over leopard come on apple get to it
