I was more impressed with the alpha having the exynos 8 core here in the states.not sure if the final version will come with it but it had an att logo on the back.

The alpha and note 4 had slightly better whites the my gs5 and from what I could tell felt slightly brighter.

Both phones ran smooth and I even installed an update on one of them!

I managed to run a quick sunspider with the note 4 and was impressed by its score...sub 400!

Edit...before you die hard gs5 owners jump on this...I just noticed I had my gs5 set to its most aggressive saturated color mode lol

I have an S5, I would hope the alpha bests the S5, it should do. The Note 4 sounds awesome.
There's no point getting all defensive about it imo.
I love the screen on my S5, but envelopes need to be pushed, Samsung seems to be able to do this.
The first thing that appeals to me when I consider a phone, is the screen, then the battery then the looks.

I wish the Z3 Compact had HD super amoled..sigh..

When I seen the Alpha at Best Buy, I didn't even realize it was a 4.7 screen size until I seen the description on the counter. They did an excellent job with the phone's size.

The BB near me only had the Note 4 and Edge. The Edge looks great but the media controls don't work on YouTube and only seemed to work on the Samsung default video player. Disappointed that you can't have the media controls for all apps in the swipe area. The edge swipe area needs more devs to develop apps before it's really usable.

The Edge is, to me, more of an engineering exercise, I can't see it being popular, more niche like the Samsung and LG bendy phones. Cool idea though, likely to be better implemented in the future. I could be wrong though.

I was like a kid in a candy store this morning at my local BB as the Play Store was activated and available to download apps on the Note 4.

Grrrr....no Note 4 demo units out in stores here yet. Not even the Samsung mini-stores at the big tech shops will have them until mid October it seems

Meh. For 8 cores and that much RAM, it doesn't really do amazingly on Sunspider. I got 330 on my phone and it has 2 cores at 1.4GHz...

The note 4 I benched was a 32bit 4 core version

Besides sunspider is a java bench and is useless across different platforms. Just using a different browser changes results big time

If sunspider was multithreaded it would do a lot better also but this score I got is still the best I've seen on any android device!

I should of installed the os update the phone had pending I did on the alpha but didn't want to waste time installing on the note.

Here is my gs5 sunspider vs the note 4 Samsung has stepped it up big time on the web browser on the note 4 its twice as fast!

What you download?

Just a couple of games. Of "note" (pun intended) would be RR3 and how great it looked and want to talk about smooth and fluid? It smoked on the Note 4.

High Rez Youtube videos looked smashing.

I wonder if BB would let me stay there overnight, or maybe take the demo home. :)
