Finally, Syncing Notes via Appigo's "NoteBook"

Woooo Hoooo! Appigo's long awaited NoteBook app ($4.99) just hit the App Store. One tap syncing with toodleDo.com's Notebook feature, and yes, that includes categories. The kicker is that there's interplay between NoteBook and Appigo's other app, ToDo.

On the iPhone/Notebook:
sort: alphabetically or by modification date
preview: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 lines
visible notebooks: checkmark the ones you want to see
Toodledo: login to existing account, or create a new free account
sync: at startup automatically or manually

Easy to move notes between notebooks, ditto sending to whomever via email.

I'm tellin' ya, that one-tap sync is a sho nuff killa! No more worries about hosed data. Add notes when no connection, sync for safekeeping when the bars show strength. Whoopie!

Horrible experience with notebook, appigo, toodledo

I have had a terrible experience with notebook and toodledo and have found my purchase of notebook an utter waste of money. I have spent so much time trying to figure this thing out that I am at an angry stage I haven't felt in a long time.

I wont accuse you of working for one of these shysters but I can't see how anyone could recommend either appigo or toodledo after the experience and time waste I have suffered unless my expectations are way out of field and a "To do" list app is something that sets a lot of guys hearts a fire- definitely not one of these guys myself. Loud sour violin serenade at this point as I reach for the bucket.

I thought I was purchasing a note book that could import my word documents - and a plus if I could make changes on my Touch and sync them with my Mac - but at this stage I would be happy only to be able to read them.

I guess I will have to be happy with importing them into Stanza app until a real document / notebook comes along.

What a nightmare of frustration and time wasted. I'm usually a very forgiving person but this experience has left me with a lot of hostility which I shall, nay will, exorcise though meditation. Anger is destructive.

Sorry for your pain. I don't recall seeing anything, anywhere, to lead one to believe that importing Word docs was among the features offered by Appigo and/or ToodleDo. I chose to spend time in the ToodleDo forum prior to purchasing that iPhone app, and also carefully checked out Appigo's toDo app. Since that gave me sufficient knowledge to know what to expect, there were no "grrrr"-style surprises.

I do not work for or with either entity, but do remain a happy customer. As always, some apps will be just the ticket for one person, while a tremendous pain for another. For my money, anything with the Appigo name attached to it is quite worthy of further investigation. I do wish you all the best in finding "the" app you seek. Beyond that, I'll simply wish you good wishes for the holiday season, and beyond.

Thanks for the great reply and season's wishes. Since you find the apps useful and so well articulated your experience, I will spend a little more time when I can spare it out of interest and possibility.

I mistook the name NoteBook as an app for sending a document or the contents of a document from my computer to my Shuffle with the possibility of addition to or changing the information once it was on the Shuffle. Syncing the changes between computer and Shuffle were secondary in my objectives but a plus were it possible. I keep my notes in many format texts - Word, AppleWorks, Pages, TextEdit, eReader via eBook Studio, etc.) and could send my documents or Notes to Stanza but for the hoops to be jumped and a Stanza library that would become unwieldy. (I could, and should, try the subject option in Stanza.)

I take my hat off to your research prior to purchasing. I usually try to do this but sometimes exuberance rules my better judgement. Lesson learned, maybe.

Again, thanks for your quick and worthy response; and please accept my apologies, heart-felt, as my tantrum was out of order.
