So I went out to one of the local computer stores and they had a MacBook there. I finally got to try one. This thing is a machine. The speed, the vibrant colors and the entire feel of OSX on such a perfectly sized notebook computer. Of course Itested for things like moo, whine, and heat. Not one problem what so ever. It was barely warm in the upper left hand corner. I have to say this is one of apples best creations. I can't wait to pick mine up for next semester. Just thought I'd give my thoughts. Hope this helps people in their descisons.

Of course they don't usually leave the mooing, whining and baking hot ones out for customer display... tends to be bad for business!;)

No, I understand what you mean, but you could tell that macBook had been there for a while because people had snapped their own photos with photobooth and it had to have been on for hours with no heat issues. Most of the originals "mooed".

The MacBook sound simply amazing from what I've heard. But this iBook will do me fine I assume until I pick up an iMac. Too bad though. I'd love a portable with a built-in iSight. I just can't see having two laptops.

I have had my 2.0ghz white macbook for about 11 days now and I absolutely love it! I have had no problems at all. This is the best computer I have ever used! I would highly recommend to anyone!!
