My student developer membership expires this week and I don't think I'll qualify as a student anymore in the future. So my one-per-lifetime developer discount was sitting there - use it or lose it. I finally pulled the trigger on a Dual Core 2.0 G5 Powermac, with the wireless/bluetooth & 7800GT upgrades. Total before taxes was $1998. I'm ordering 2gigs of RAM and already have an additional 250gb SATA drive that I will install. Also ordered an APC 800VA UPS for it and the LCD that I'll order sometime in the next few months. I'd like to see what Apple has up its sleeve at NAB before I decide what to get - but it will probably be a 23 or 24" model.

Can't wait to transfer all my stuff over from my aging, but reliable, 867mhz Quicksilver. Working with pictures and videos is going to be a whole lot faster I'm guessing.

Mine is up this month, however I have three more months in my MBA program so I'll probably re-up; I want the mega discount for an Intel PM when they come out! :D

Any issues using your ADC discount?

Nope...it's actually about ten times slower.

;)

Congrats! Enjoy your purchase!

Nope, no problems so far. So long as you're a student developer member and haven't used your discount yet, I think it should go through. I know people that tried to ordered through the Developer Store and without a membership and they got an email telling them that the developer store was only for developers, but I haven't gotten any emails like that. In fact, I just got my order acknowledgement, which I assume you get after they've approved your order.
