Hi

A couple of rookie iphone questions.

Can anyone tell me where I can find a 'contacts' icon on the main screen that I can tap on to add/delete/revise contacts.

Also, can't find the 'backup' section to turn on the icloud backup section.

Many thanks.

Phil

contacts on an iPhone is not on the home screen, but it is on the bottom bar of the phone app.

i cloud back up is also on settings
iCloud

scroll down you will see it

Sure it is, the Contacts app is a non-removable app in iOS. It is also integrated into the Phone app, but it is also a standalone app. I think by default Apple puts it into a folder (Utilities?) but its there and has always been there.

contacts is only a standalone app on the iPod touch and iPad

there is no such folder on the iPhone or the iPod or the iPad called utilities

i go back to iOS 4 i never heard of utilities on an iPhone

if you go back to a really old iOS version and u keep doing updates and you never set it up as a new phone then i imagine you could still have contacts in utilities but i never seen any folder like that

The folder is called 'extras' and has contacts in it.

okay! thanks
i found extras.
And you found the stand alone Contacts app that was on your iPhone, didn't you?

I wasn't sure of the folder name, hence the question mark. I remove that folder on a new iOS device right away, so forgot what Apple called it.

I'm going to hide on the technicality that i said is it was not on the home screen. which it isn't. its on the second screen to the right of the home screen in a folder called extras. haha
