Still here.
In iOS 9.1, I recently asked Find Friends to notify me when my SO leaves or arrives at home. I used the address of our home as opposed to selecting a point on the map, but it seems that walking from one end of our home to the other counts as leaving/arriving, so I'm getting notifications constantly.

I cannot find any way to remove these notifications. I don't want to disable the app from notifying me in general, as I'd like to get them working properly, but I'm unable to find where I can remove existing notifications.

I think that you are able to adjust the radius of your 'home' section. If you adjust the radius of the selection you wont get notifications until you walked or start heading down the road that your house is on, and you will not be spammed with notifications.

I've done this, but I can only seem to create a new notification for "the next time" she leaves/arrives at home. I'm not sure where the recurring notifications are coming from.

I just reviewed the application. I don't see any way to adjust the radius like the reminders app allows you to do. If you were willing to allow me to share my location to you through the app i could get a better view on how i can help.

I appreciate the effort and willingness to help.

First, I'd like to double-check the app settings on her phone when she gets home and make sure there's nothing I can do there. I think there may be more options available to the user sharing their location than to the user requesting notifications of another's location.

Select the person and you'll see that the "Notify Me" button is orange. Select it and it takes you into the saved notification you've set up. At the bottom of that page is a button that says "Remove."

You'll know it worked when the button is no longer orange.

You said you've looked it over and I have a hard time imagining you missed the red "remove" button so i'm going to guess that there may be some kind of bug or other problem here. I suggest restarting your phone and maybe force-quitting the app. Sometimes things just go weird and an app doesn't draw all of the program's controls properly.
